Last week our team had the privilege of accepting the prestigious Digiday 2011 ”Best Monetization Technology for A Publisher” Award. The Digiday Publishing Awards honor overall excellence and breakthrough achievement in digital publishing, branded content and advertising technology. The awards were selected by an esteemed panel of judges including; leading media and marketing experts, journalists, industry insiders, marketers, publishers and technology visionaries. The judging panel evaluated each submission based on technology innovation, tools and functionality available to publishers, as well as customer feedback.

We are honored to have REVV®, Rubicon Project’s Real Time Trading Platform, selected as the Best Monetization Technology for Publishers. We started this company five years ago with a mission to automate the buying and selling of online advertising.  We wanted to do for online advertising what companies like NASDAQ and Sabre Systems did for their respective markets.  It’s our belief that if the market becomes more efficient, it will grow.

Innovation and investments in infrastructure and new products are key to meeting this goal. A strong infrastructure supports the complexity of real time trading and new products supply publishers the right insights and data they need to make better decisions and increase overall revenue. In 2011, REVV drove maximum revenue on over 2 trillion ads for top publishers, including 30% of the comScore 100; classified over 60,000 ad creatives to identify their buyer, industry, agency and more; and served real-time trading ads to more than 627 million internet users around the globe.

As much as we’ve accomplished in the past year, we’ve only just begun to scratch the surface. We’d like to thank our customers and partners for the support we’ve received around the world and look forward to helping publishers and buyers drive their business forward through technology innovation.
