We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Product Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team in the fast paced online advertising industry. If you are seeking a company where you can make an immediate impact and drive key marketing initiatives in a leading technology company, we would like to hear from you. The Product Marketing Manager will create crisp and concise content that communicates the capabilities and benefits of our offerings. He/she will work with other team members to help the sales team close more business by explaining why our solution is better than competitive alternatives. This person also needs to be a great listener and possess analytical skills to grasp complex topics. Experience of B2B business software and experience working with a direct sales team is required. Some experience in online advertising technology is preferred.
Responsibilities =
The Product marketing manager will work with some or all of the following areas:
Outbound:
- Messaging: translate product features into benefits that speak to customers.
- External-facing content: create website copy, flyers, videos, etc.
- Content for sales enablement: Create material for the sales team, such as sales presentations and FAQ’s.
- Demo: create the demo script that tells a business story.
- Go-to-market / launch: own pieces of the monthly launches.
- One-off sales support.
Inbound:
- A voice of the customer & market: interview customers, prospects and market influencers to understand needs and get feedback on messaging.
- Competitive briefs: research competitive offerings and identify why we are different.
The Product Marketing Manager will be tasked with covering a broad scope of tasks. However, the initial areas of responsibility can be partly tailored to the chosen candidate. Applicants are encouraged to highlight their strengths and preferences in the areas mentioned above.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Ability to translate product features into customer benefit.
- Copy writing skills for web and one-page flyers.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Experience from a product marketing role or similar.
- Experience from a B2B software company with a direct sales team.
- Experience from both a small company and a large corporation.
- Experience from the online display advertising industry is a plus.
- A business-related or analytical degree.
