What's New This Week

< back

Since launching our private Beta program in early October, we’ve been working furiously to continue to innovate and improve our service for our publishers and ad network partners. Through lots of emails, forum posts, phone calls and meetings, you’ve told us where we excel, where you think we should continue to focus and what else you‘d like to see. Needless to say, 10 billion ads, 60+ ad networks, and a lot of R&D dollars later, we’ve learned a lot and are ready to unveil some new things. Some went live today, others you’ll learn about next week while we’re in San Francisco for ad:tech. And now, on with the news…

Q1 Online Advertising Market Report:Ad Network Landscape, Trends, and Outlook— Sitting at the intersection between more than 600 websites and 60 ad networks, the Rubicon Project has already processed more than 10 billion (yes billion) pieces of data . This puts us in a great position to be able to comment on the state of the ad network market. Since we like to share we’ve made it available as a free download for anyone who wants to see it. It’ a 20+ page in depth report and is definitely worth your time (this isn’t a big fluff piece by any stretch).

Certified Ad Space Program—For ad networks it’s a major challenge to ensure their advertiser’s ads are running on the safe, quality, targeted inventory that they want. the Rubicon Project’s Certified Ad Space Program is a 21 point checklist that solves that specific problem for ad networks and their advertisers. This is also a big win for publishers as their certified and segmented inventory is made available to hundreds of ad networks from across the world. Check out the full 21 point checklist and more information on the Certified Ad Space Program…

Our new website-Hopefully you already noticed this one. And, if we did our job right with the new website, you noticed the Market Report and Certification program as well! Here are some of the other highlights of our new site but we encourage your to click around and explore.

  • Publisher Success Stories:Don’t take our word about how exactly we help. Check out what some of our publishers have to say about us.
  • The Mad Cash Meter: the Rubicon Project has billions and billions of pieces of data running through our system—this is what we use to optimize the ad space of our publishers. We now publish aggregate high-level data on our Mad Cash Meter and more detailed, but still aggregated, data on our Ad Inventory page. If you are an ad network, you can use this to request access to inventory that is managed by the Rubicon Project.
  • Our new Blog!:Previously we used our forum (now found under the “Community” tag) to keep you updated on company news. Now topics around our culture, company events, industry commentary or other items that strike our fancy can be found here. We hope to see you often.

Finally—if you’re going to ad:tech San Francisco, make sure you stop by to meet the team (booth #6166) We’ll be at the booth April 15th-16th at the Moscone Center. Shoot us an email if you’re going: adtechsf@rubiconproject.com. We look forward to seeing you there.

And an extra little something special we cooked up.
